Boy Harsher holds No. 1 as Xenturion Prime surges

The Dark Current Chart for 10–16 July 2026 is led by a familiar pulse. Boy Harsher's “Jeans” remains at No. 1 for a second chart week, while a sharp run of climbers and debuts reshapes the darkwave, synthpop, EBM, industrial, coldwave and post-punk Top 30 beneath it.

Boy Harsher keeps the darkwave top spot

“Jeans” holds No. 1 with an Impact Score of 58.0, up 1.5 points from the previous chart. Its lead is decisive: Mercy Girl's “Punisher” rises one place to No. 2 with 44.2, leaving 13.8 points between first and second.

The New Division and Podsongs complete the top three as “Idols” climbs four places to No. 3. Twin Noir's “Stimmen – Darkways Remix” moves to No. 4, while Rue Oberkampf's “Eiszeit” rounds out the Top 5.

“Halcyon” is the week's biggest mover

Xenturion Prime delivers the chart's most dramatic movement. “Halcyon” rockets 25 places to No. 11, paired with a 14.3-point Impact Score gain. It is the clearest breakout story in this week's ranking and lands just outside the Top 10.

Elezoria's “Wait No More” also makes a strong move, climbing eight places to No. 20. Kalte Steine's “Crying Out” rises six to No. 14, while “Idols,” Tølva's “Quiero Verte,” and Dead Astronauts' “Get Lost” each gain four positions.

Five new entries arrive, led by an Apoptygma Berzerk remix

The highest debut comes from Kill Instinct and Apoptygma Berzerk. “Control – Apoptygma Berzerk Remix” opens at No. 7 with a 37.6 Impact Score, immediately placing it among the week's ten strongest tracks.

Four more tracks make their first chart appearance: Sad Madona's “Ivory” at No. 19, j:dead's “Draws My Blood” at No. 21, Balvanera's “Desgaste” at No. 23, and Mental Discipline's “Rise Again” at No. 25. Together, the five arrivals bring darkwave, industrial, EBM and synthpop energy into every part of the ranking.

Seven tracks enter their fourth and final chart week

Dark Current tracks can make a maximum of four chart appearances. Seven songs reach that line this week: “Living Ghosts,” “Ankh On Your Throat,” “Time Stand Still,” “Same Old War,” “DARKER SOONER,” “Northern Lights,” and “Artificial Hearts Division – No Pain Version.”

Casket Cassette and Sad Madona's “Living Ghosts” leads that farewell group at No. 9. Its Top 10 finish gives one of the chart's longest-running tracks a strong final week before archive status.

How the Dark Current Chart is ranked

Dark Current is a weekly chart for current dark-scene releases. Tracks are ranked from precomputed metric snapshots taken at or before the weekly cutoff. The deterministic Impact Score can use Spotify popularity snapshots, observed artist audience metrics, artist followers and popularity, release age, artist top-track rank and approved manual overrides. Track stream counts are not used.
